Discovery of the restaurant
There are a lot of South Africans in Korea and I had the privilege of having 3 in my town and they directed me to Braai Republic in Seoul, Itaewon. Below was my first dish I had at Braai and OMG.....I am a meat lover so this was honestly an experience I will always remember lol. Like I kid you not, I was in heaven. I ordered lamp chops(2 comes with the platter) with 2 sides; creamy spinach and sweet potato (mashed).
Customer Service
Okay, here we go. I am very big and particular on and about customer service. My first experience at Braai was amazing and the owner talked to us about the inspiration behind opening the restaurant and how life is like in South Africa, and of course about the foods. We have been to Braai a lot after that first and I can honestly say that the customer service is a hit or miss. It depends on who is working and also on their mood or vibe, because 3 weekends ago when we went to Seoul we went there and honestly the service was horrible. The waitress was just all over the place and was not catering to our needs and SHE DID NOT LISTEN AT ALL, BECAUSE THE MISTAKES SHE MADE COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED.
Prices
The prices range from like 6 or 7 thousand won to 21 thousand won. My lamp chops platter is 21 thousand won, and if is wrong maybe by a dollar or so less not more. The overall menu prices are not bad at all, because you get a good portion for what your paying.
Location
Itaewon is in Seoul and it has a lot of foreigners. Though the restaurant is hidden it is worth the search to find it. You will have to walk up a set of stairs to get to the restaurant, but the big sign outside will help you. It has a lot of shopping around the area and a lot of souvenirs stores you can head to before or after the restaurant. I believe it is a great location. Above you will find the address.
This was the Lamp Potjie (it was with potatoes, carrots and pap)
it was very different from the order I would usually get there, but it was yummy.

You cannot really see it in this picture, but the pies at Braai are to die for. I love their lamb and chicken pie the most. It leaves you satisfied and full. Other choices are: pork pie, spinach and potato pie, and mixed meat pie.
In this image above is my favourite, lamb chops with creamy spinach and sweet potato, Wedges and the chicken pie...it was yummy in my tummy.
