Referee Maric saved the life of a player
Dramatic scenes were seen in a Round of 16 game of the Croatian Football Cup in Vinkovci. Referee Bruno Maric had to help 20-year-old home-born Zvonimir Filipovic, who almost passed away after a challenge.
For a while, the player was still on the ground until Mari? approached him and pulled his tongue out of his mouth, so that he would not suffocate. The player has even bitten him, but soon he came to consciousness, got up and left the field.
